On 2011 OTN started ‘Foresight’. Foresight is an annual conclave of Odisha Television Ltd that hosts the confluence of eminent personalities and some of the brightest minds of the state and nation who join for brainstorming sessions for discussion on varied topics. Foresight is an initiative to highlight the work done by some of the best minds in the nation from different fields. The event aims at creating an environment of discussion, idea sharing and debate with the participation of the intelligentsia, where the foresight for the country’s progress is shared with the society. The event also focuses on encouraging new schools of thought and innovation at the state and national level.

On 2012 OTN started ‘Prerana’.OTV Prerana is a platform dedicated to the inspiration we find around us every day in every sphere, the women. Prerana brings to fore eminent female personalities and recognizes the need to give a voice to all women in the society. The event is organized in honor of the women who think, believe, inspire, and manage to bring a change in the perception of society. It is a platform for fearless female voices that speak of female leadership and rights, representing the powerful force of the feminine.

On 2012 OTN started Odisha Citizens Award (OCA). It instituted by OTV, is an effort to recognize and honor the citizens of Odisha who have left an indelible mark in their respective fields like agriculture, healthcare, media and entertainment, sports, and social services. By conferring Odisha Citizens Award on the deserving, OTV aims at recognizing, acknowledging and rewarding the citizens who have brought glory to the state and the country.

OTV has constantly been an early adopter of new technology and trends. Whether it was social media back in the day or Artificial Intelligence (AI) now, OTV is constantly at the cutting edge of technology to bring news to its viewers, readers, and subscribers. ‘Lisa’ is the India’s First Odia AI News Anchor Launched By OTV.

Arindam Das Scholarship has started from 2022. The scholarship was instituted by OTV in memory of its late journalist Arindam Das who lost his life while covering the rescue operation of an elephant stuck in the Mahanadi river at Mundali barrage. It is not just an initiative to keep the memories of the late journalist alive but also a way for the organization to strongly support those in need.

As the largest media organization in the State, Odisha Television Network has been undertaking CSR activities through its initiative OTV Cares. OTV continues to disseminate factually correct news that matters the most and in the interest of Odisha and its people. It always upholds the policy of truth with the theme- ‘We Report, You Decide’. It has been standing firmly beside the people in all seasons and has become the voice of the suppressed.

There was a time when people were waiting for the 7 pm news broadcast on Doordarshan. OTV started its Prime Time Show at the same time for the people of Odisha.
